Pregnancy & Birth

"Peace on Earth begins with birth."

My Approach

As a birth keeper, I walk with women as they travel through the sacred portal of pregnancy and birth. I believe that birth works, and works best when it is undisturbed and uninterrupted.

I work with women who are ready to take radical responsibility for their health and their lives, and who are planning a sovereign home birth outside of the medical system.

In this paradigm, the woman herself is the sole authority over her body and her baby. My job as the birth keeper is to be a sisterly presence as you bring your baby forth into the world.

Birth is a dance between the birthing woman and her baby. I support women in tuning into their bodies and their intuition so that they the best choices possible in their births.

Prenatal Care

Prenatal visits are a time for connection and sisterhood. I work with women on fears that come up around their upcoming births, dream with them about what their ideal birth looks like, and offer any emotional support you need during this time.

We talk about what the birth process will look like, who you would like to be present at the birth and what their roles will be, and other important specifics. We also begin planning for your postpartum period to ensure that your transition into motherhood is smooth and joyful.

Birth Keeping

As birth approaches, I will be on call to come to the birth when it is time. When labor begins, I am available for as much support as you would like. I’m happy to support you over the phone, or to come and assist you in person. Whether virtually or in-person, I am here to be your anchor as you travel through the wildness of birth.

If I am attending in-person, I will stay until the birth process is complete. I will help clean up and ensure that you have what you need to snuggle up and rest with your new baby.

I also offer two postpartum visits as part of my birth keeping. In these visits, I will come to your home to support you after birth.
